Charlie Sheen cast as president in 'Machete Kill'

Charlie Sheen is poised to make a comeback. The former "Two and a Half Men" star is returning to the small screen in the upcoming series "Anger Management," starring in a movie alongside Bill Murray and is reportedly in talks to play the president in the sequel to "Machete," according to The Hollywood Reporter. "Machete Kills," the sequel to the 2010 action movie, already has an impressive cast that includes Jessica Alba, Mel Gibson and Amber Heard. Director Robert Rodriguez made the exciting announcement that Sheen would be involved via Twitter. "I just cast Charlie Sheen in #machetekills as the President of the United States! Who better? More soon…" Rodriguez tweeted. The role would be a big step forward in helping Sheen rebuild his public image after he was famously fired from "Two and a Half Men" last year and went on a series of rants during interviews. Though he's most famous for his work on the small screen as of late, Sheen has a lengthy history of impressive movie roles including "Platoon" and "Wall Street."
