Jennifer Connelly may join 'Noah'

Darren Aronofsky is one of the most critically acclaimed directors in Hollywood, and his next film, the Biblical epic "Noah" seems poised to cement his reputation. Aronofsky is reportedly nearing an agreement with Jennifer Connelly to play a major role, Variety reports. Connelly has long been rumored to join the cast, and it looks like it may happen. Sources say she would play the part of Naameth, Noah's wife. Connelly would be the latest big name actor to sign on to the project. The movie already stars Russell Crowe as Noah, and Emma Watson, Ray Winstone and Douglas Booth are also on board, according to Variety. If Connelly does join the movie, it will mark the second time she has worked with Aronofsky. She previously starred alongside Jared Leto in the dark drama "Requiem For a Dream." She has also starred opposite Crowe before, winning an Academy Award for her part in "A Beautiful Mind." "Noah" does not have a release date yet, but until then fans of Aronofsky may want to watch some of his best films including "Black Swan" and "The Wrestler."
