Despite being canceled, fans of the the HBO comedy series "Bored to Death" may soon get to see some of their favorite characters again. Star Ted Danson recently hinted there might be a 90-minute movie in the works, according to Vulture.

Danson made the remark to a French journalist at the Monte Carlo Television Festival. Though there has been no official announcement, HBO did not deny the possibility, saying there had been some conversation about the topic, but adding that the process is in the very early stages.

Despite it short run, "Bored to Death" earned substantial critical acclaim. Along with Danson, the show starred Jason Schwartzman as a writer who embarks as a secret lift as a detective at night. The series also featured "The Hangover" star Zach Galifianakis as a friend of Schwartzman's character. The show's final episode ran in November.

"Bored to Death" is yet another show that its fans feel was canceled too early. Other similar series include "Arrested Development," which is potentially headed to the big screen in 2013, and "Freaks and Geeks."
