Ashley Tisdale added to 'Sons of Anarchy'

Ashley Tisdale may be best known for her work on the Disney Channel, but the former "High School Musical 2" star is going to be taking a much darker turn in the near future. Tisdale is reportedly set to appear in a multiple-episode arc on the gritty drama "Sons of Anarchy," according to Deadline. Season five of the popular FX series is set to debut sometime in September. The show follows an outlaw motorcycle club patrolling northern California. Tisdale is expected to play the role of Emma Jean, an escort who works her way into the club and ends up causing trouble. It's unclear exactly how long her arc will be. Playing an escort will be a sharp turn for Tisdale's usually squeaky-clean characters. However, it is indicative of her shifting career trend. She has also been tapped to star in the upcoming horror movie spoof "Scary Movie 5." "Sons of Anarchy" fans have to wait several months until they see if the casting pans out, but until then they can check out similar series through TV on DVD such as "The Walking Dead" and "Deadwood."
