Print this article June 7 marks the birthday of many famous entertainers including Prince and Michael Cera, but perhaps the most well-known star born on this day is Liam Neeson. The prolific actor turns 60 this year, and in recognition of his important milestone here are some his best films.
Neeson has starred in many historical epics including "Michael Collins" and "Rob Roy," but "Schindler's List" is arguably the best of them all. Neeson plays Oskar Schindler, the real-life German businessman who helped more than 1,000 Jews escape concentration camps during World War II. It earned the Oscar for Best Picture and Neeson was nominated for Best Actor.
The first in Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy, "Batman Begins" saw Neeson making an unusual turn as the villain Ra's al Ghul. The film is considered among the best comic book movies of all time and a lot of that can be chalked up to Neeson's excellent performance.
When the trailer first surfaced, this 2008 movie looked like a typical action flick, but it was anything but that. Paced by Neeson's steely resolve, the film follows his character as he tracks down the men who have kidnapped his daughter and fulfill his promise to bring the criminals to their end.
