As more news about the upcoming "Anchorman" sequel comes out, the year-plus wait for the comedy movie becomes much more difficult. The most recent announcement was no different. Christina Applegate, who plays Ron Burgundy's (Will Ferrell) lover-turned-rival Veronica Corningstone, will reprise her role, Celebuzz reports.

Applegate was the last main character from the original film to be confirmed. Ferrell, Paul Rudd, David Koechner and Steve Carell are all on board for the sequel and recently appeared in a teaser trailer that aired before "The Dictator." There's no word yet on the story, but Koechner recently offered some details.

"It's set around the advent of the 24-hour news channel. They're writing a script right now so no specific details," Koechner he told E! Online.

Although there's no exact date just yet, filming is expected to begin in February 2013 with a release set for later that year. Until then, fans of the film can check out Applegate in the TV series "Samantha Who?" or in the 2011 comedy movie "Hall Pass."
