Print this article Christopher Guest, one of the most respected comedic minds in Hollywood, is working on his next project, but this time it will be for the small screen. According to Vulture, the series is tentatively titled "Family Tree," and is being shopped by a number of different networks.
The project is Guest's first since 2006 and will likely be eagerly awaited by many of the fans of his previous work. The series stars Chris O'Dowd, who most fans will recognize from "Bridesmaids," as a man trying to track down his real family. Other than that, there are not many other details regarding the show's plot or potential stars.
Despite the lack of details, the publication reports that sources have said the show will likely resemble HBO's "Curb Your Enthusiasm" in that it will largely be improvised and shot in single camera format.
Wherever the show ends up, given Guest's track record it will certainly be entertaining. His previous films include such comedy movies as "This is Spinal Tap," "A Mighty Wind" and "Best in Show."
