Print this article Robert Pattinson has already had his hand in two of the biggest movie series of the last decade, and it looks like he may be poised for a third. The "Twilight" star is reportedly in talks to appear in the upcoming "The Hunger Games" sequel "Catching Fire," according to TMT.
Sources told the entertainment blog that Pattinson may be tapped to play Finnick Odair, who comes to serve an important role in the final two installments of the popular series. There's no confirmation of the casting just yet, but given the star power of the first movie of the franchise, it would not come as much of a surprise.
The potential casting news is just the latest bit of information to come out about "Catching Fire." Gary Ross, who directed the blockbuster original, has been replaced by Francis Lawrence. The sequel is set for a November 23, 2013 release and begins filming later this summer or fall.
While it remains to be seen if Pattinson makes his mark on "The Hunger Games" trilogy, his fan can check him out in other films such as "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" and "Water for Elephants."
