Print this article For all his success on "Mad Men," it's a surprise that star Jon Hamm has not enjoyed a substantial movie career. That may change, however, as Hamm recently was cast as the leading role in the upcoming Disney film "Million Dollar Arm," according to Deadline.
The drama is set to star Hamm as real-life sports agent J.B. Bernstein, who rose to fame after he signed two Indian cricket players to deals to play professional baseball in the United States. The script is done and the movie is expected to begin shooting sometimes this fall, according to the website.
Although this is Hamm's first leading role in a feature film, he has enjoyed several smaller parts in successful movies. Most recently, he had a small role in the hit comedy movie "Bridesmaids," and in the action flick "The A-Team."
To get the full effect of what Hamm may seem like on the big screen, fans may want to watch "The Town," where he has a considerable supporting role. Or, they may want to re-watch some of his best turns on TV including a recurring spot on NBC's "30 Rock."
