'Friday Night Lights' film moving along

There have been many rumors about the possibility of a movie based on the popular TV drama "Friday Night Lights," and it looks like the plans are finally falling into place. Series star Connie Britton says she recently spoke with the show's producer, Jason Katims, and he has taken the project to a new level, according to Details. Katims is working with Pete Berg, who directed the "Friday Night Lights" film (not related to the television series) on a script, and though the pieces are in place, many of the show's actors have busy schedules. Taylor Kitsch, Kyle Chandler and Adrianne Palicki all have film projects. However, Britton says she met with Katims and he showed her his plans for the film. "I was so excited. Then he's, like, 'Don't look at it! I don't want you to see it until it's a script.'" she told the magazine. "I'm like, 'I'd better have a good part in it!'" Though there's no word on when production begins, fans of the series can get ready for the film by re-watching old episodes through TV on DVD.
