'Avengers' co-stars Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner may head to stage

Scarlett Johansson and Jeremy Renner both star in the upcoming superhero movie "The Avengers," but the pair may soon show off their talents on stage. Both Johansson and Renner are in talks to star in a revival of the classic Tennessee Williams play "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof," according to the Los Angeles Times. Nothing is confirmed, but the "Hurt Locker" star said recently that he was considering starring alongside Johansson in the upcoming show. Johansson is no stranger to the stage, either. In 2010, she earned a Tony award for her work on "A View From the Bridge." Seeing the two on stage may be a good fit given they enjoyed working together on "The Avengers." Renner gave a speech at her recent induction on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, praising her talents as an actress. "For six months, she continuously threw me around, beat me, stepped on me and wiped the floor with my dignity and self-respect every day - all with a smile on her face," he joked. To get a feel for the talents of Johansson and Renner, movie fans can check them out in "The Town" and "Lost in Translation."
