Steven Soderbergh strikes gold again with 'Haywire'

Steven Soderbergh has directed some of the most compelling movies of the last decade, and "Haywire" is no exception. With an all-star cast and fast-paced action, the movie keeps audiences on the edge of their seats the entire time. The exciting new release DVD hit shelves May 1. Mallory Kane (Gina Carano) is a private contractor who has found herself in over her head. After participating in a rescue mission with a government agent known as Coblenz (Michael Douglas) and her ex-boyfriend and current boss Kenneth (Ewen McGregor). Things seem to go according to plan, but everything runs much deeper than that. Under the pretense of another mission, Mallory meets up with a man named Paul (Michael Fassbander) and he agrees to pretend to be her husband. However, things quickly go awry once she realizes she’s been set up and could soon be murdered. After killing Paul, everything starts to unravel to expose a growing conspiracy against her. “Haywire” is similar to many of Soderbergh’s other movies in that the plot gets more complicated as the movie goes along.
