There has been rampant speculation about the upcoming second season of "American Horror Story." The popular drama has almost an entirely new cast, and creator Ryan Murphy recently revealed where the new season will be set, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Murphy was speaking on a panel at TV Academy in North Hollywood and revealed the new season will take place on the East Coast. Additionally, although some of the same actors will be returning for the sophomore season, the plot will not relate to the previous story in any way.

"It's a completely different world and has nothing to do with Season 1 - there's not a mention of Season 1," he told the audience. "The second season is set in a completely different time period."

The show will feature contributions from Jessica Lange, Zachary Quinto and Evan Peters, all of whom played important parts in the first season. Additionally, Maroon 5's Adam Levine will be making an appearance.

Fans of "American Horror Story" waiting for season two can watch similar FX series such as "Nip/Tuck" and "Burn Notice" to get ready.
