Bill Murray not officially out for 'Ghostbusters 3'

Fans of the original "Ghostbusters" movie have been ecstatic at the news of a potential third film in the series, but their excitement was lessened a bit when they found out Bill Murray would not be reprising his role. However, the "Lost in Translation" star recently offered a glimmer of hope, hinting that he has not ruled out the film. Murray was on set at Chicago's WGN-TV for an interview and when the topic of him not appearing in "Ghostbusters 3" came up, he told sports reporter Pat Tomasulo that it's not necessarily the case. "You can't believe everything you read," he said, and later added that there's still a possibility he could be involved in the project. A third film has long been in development, with Dan Aykroyd trying to get the original cast back together for more than a decade. However, he told the Telegraph earlier this year that Murray is not interested and whether the movie gets made is still up in the air. Although Murray may not be appearing in "Ghostbusters 3" anytime soon, fans can check him out in some of his other best roles including "Caddyshack" and "Groundhog Day."
