Fans of the critically-acclaimed series "Breaking Bad"  have been speculating that the show's final season would be split over the course of a year, and the series star Bryan Cranston recently confirmed the rumors, Entertainment Weekly reports.

AMC has not revealed many specifics regarding its fifth and final season, but Cranston and other actors have said that it will likely debut sometime in July. Cranston also revealed some other specifics about the series end.

"We’re splitting it," Cranston told the publication. "We're going to shoot the first eight, then take a four-month production break, then the rest will air next year."

Along with the details of how the final season will air, Cranston also provided some hints as to what's in store for Walt, Jesse and the rest of the characters on the show. The season will pick up right where it left off, with Walt assessing his life after the shocking season four finale.

Though there's no word yet on when the season premiere will be, fans can check out other excellent AMC dramas including "Mad Men" and "The Walking Dead."
