Quentin Tarantino's next film, the star-studded spaghetti Western "Django Unchained," just lost one big name. Joseph Gordon-Levitt has reportedly dropped out of the project due to scheduling conflicts, according to MTV.com.

Gordon-Levitt had been tapped to play a small supporting role and was deciding whether he would be able to appear in both Tarantino's movie while also directing "Don Jon's Addiction." It turns out the answer is no, and recently confirmed he would be focusing his efforts on just one film.

"I've been in touch with Quentin about it, and it was so cool to trust me to do this little part in his movie," Gordon-Levitt told MTV. "I would have loved, loved to have done it. He's one of my very favorite filmmakers, and he was really supportive of me directing and that meant the world to me."

Although Gordon-Levitt is no longer involved, "Django Unchained" still has plenty of star power. Jamie Foxx, Leonardo DiCaprio, Christoph Waltz and Samuel L. Jackson are all going to be appearing.

To see Gordon-Levitt in some of his best movie roles, fans can check out his work in "Inception," "50/50" and "(500) Days of Summer."
