Print this article Before 2011, it had been 15 years since the Muppets came to the big screen. Thanks to the passion of Jason Segel, they made their return in "The Muppets," and it was certainly worth the wait. The heartwarming comedy movie comes to DVD March 20.
Walter (voice of Peter Linz), a man born as a puppet, and his brother Gary (Segel) have always loved the Muppets. After years of watching the troupe, the duo decide to take a trip to Hollywood with Gary's girlfriend Mary (Amy Adams) to visit Muppet Studios. However, upon arriving they find the studio is rundown and an evil oil tycoon (Chris Cooper) wants to buy it and knock it down.
The only way that the studio can be saved is if the Muppets can raise $10 million, and in order for them to do so they have to get the gang back together to put on a show. So, Walter and Gary set off to reunite the likes of Kermit, Miss Piggy and Fozzie Bear.
"The Muppets" is the latest in a line of excellent films from the group and follows the tradition of "A Muppet Christmas Carol" and "The Great Muppet Caper."
