Print this article One of the most brilliant minds in the world will finally be meeting with two of the smartest characters on TV. World-renowned physicist Stephen Hawking recently shot a guest spot on "The Big Bang Theory" for an episode that will air April 5, according to TV Guide Canada.
Not much is known about Hawking's role on the show, but sources from CBS told TV Guide that he is going to meet with Sheldon (Jim Parsons). The appearance is the culmination of a long effort on the part of the show's producers. They had previously asked him to film a scene, but he was too ill at the time.
Hawking is not the only icon in the science world to have a guest spot on the popular CBS comedy. "Star Trek" actor Leonard Nimoy is expected to have a voice cameo on an upcoming episode slated for March 29, the publication reports.
"The Big Bang" theory is one of the most popular shows in the U.S. and Canada, and anybody interested in checking out similar series may want to watch "How I Met Your Mother" and "Two and a Half Men."
