'Tower Heist' opens new chapter in crime thrillers

It's hard to find anybody who doesn't enjoy crime thriller films. They often feature ensemble casts, slicks action, and a fast-paced story. Such is the case with "Tower Heist," which brings the genre to a new height. The exciting film comes to DVD February 21. Josh Kovacs (Ben Stiller) works as a building manager at an opulent New York City high rise. One day, his and his employees' lives are thrown into turmoil when they discover a tenant of the building, Arthur Shaw (Alan Alda), has been arrested for running a ponzi scheme. Josh put all of their pensions in the investment plan and now they are left with nothing. To get back at Shaw, Josh, and his fellow employees Charlie (Casey Affleck) and Enrique (Michael Pena) enlist the help of career criminal Slide (Eddie Murphy) to break into his apartment and steal the money back. There is certainly no lack of excellent heist movies to check out, but some of the best include "The Italian Job" and the star-studded "Ocean's Eleven."
