Full length trailer for 'The Amazing Spider-Man' reveals details

There have been some concerns over this summer's "The Amazing Spider-Man," not the least of which is that "Spider-Man 3" came out just five years ago. However, the trailer for the film was recently released, and it shows a fresh take on the well known story, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The movie, which stars Andrew Garfield as the titular super hero, is slated for a July 3 release, and although it contains some similar elements of the trilogy earlier this decade, there are some differences. In particular, the trailer reveals that the story delves more into Spider-Man's past, more specifically his father. The two and a half minute spot also reveals the villain for the movie - the rarely seen Lizard (played by Rhys Ifans). The film's star-studded cast also gets ample screen time including Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, Martin Sheen as Ben Parker and Dennis Leary as George Stacy. The movie is just one of several much-anticipated films set to come out this summer. Sequels for "Men in Black" and "The Dark Knight" are also gearing up for release.
