(We do not collect these names or emails!)Over the last several years, seemingly no film has been deemed too sacred to remake. Even in the case of "American Psycho," studios are considering a reboot after only 10 years. So it should come as no surprise that there are talks about remaking the 1985 classic movie "Back to the Future" as a musical, The Guardian reports.
While some might be quick to label the idea of a musical version of the sci-fi flick as sacrilege, its creators don't seem to share the same sentiment. All the principle players behind the movie, including director Robert Zemeckis and writer Bob Gale are on board. Even the movie's composer Alan Silvestri is in support of the idea, the newspaper reports.
Of course, the talks are still in the earliest stages so it remains to be seen whether anything will come to fruition. However, it might not be as farfetched of an idea as one might think given that Huey Lewis and the News' "Power of Love" was featured so prominently in the screen version.
A number of other movies have been made into stage musicals including "Spider-Man," and the Reese Witherspoon hit "Legally Blonde."
