The future of the hit NBC comedy "The Office" is uncertain, but rumors are swirling about the potential for life after Dunder Mifflin for one character. Sources say that two of the show's stars are planning a spin-off featuring Dwight Schrute, Deadline reports.

The show would take Dwight (Rainn Wilson) out of the office and focus more on his attempt to run a bed and breakfast at his beet farm. Dwight's farm has been a longstanding joke on the show and Wilson, along with executive producer Paul Lieberstein, think it could be a good idea for a series.

"Paul and Rainn have been joking for years about Dwight’s life on the farm, his family and how ill-suited he is to run a B&B," a source close to show told the website. "A while ago, it started to feel like a show to them."

If it does come to fruition, the show could debut sometime in 2013. Until that time, fans may want to check out similar titles including "Parks and Recreation" and "Community."
