Anne Hathaway reveals details on Catwoman

Though Christopher Nolan has released some details about "The Dark Knight Rises," the much-anticipated final chapter in his Batman cannon, very little is known about the new characters - most notably Anne Hathaway's Catwoman. The actress recently spoke with the Los Angeles Times and offered some insight into the upcoming film.  Fans of the franchise got their first look at the character in a recently-released trailer, but her time on screen was brief and outside of a few stills provided by Nolan earlier this fall, Catwoman is very much a mystery. Hathaway says to not expect her character to resemble the incarnation played by Michelle Pfieffer in 1992's "Batman Returns." "I love the costume because everything has a purpose, nothing is in place for fantasy's sake, and that's the case with everything in Christopher Nolan's Gotham City," she told the newspaper. "The Dark Knight Rises" does not come out until July, but until then fans can whet their appetite with the previous two films in the series "Batman Begins" and "The Dark Knight," which famously earned Heath Ledger an Oscar.
