The FX series "American Horror Story" has been one of the biggest hits of the fall season, but despite its popularity it may see big changes during its second season. Creator Ryan Murphy says that he is planning on using a new cast and will set the show in a new location, TheWrap reports.

The announcement was made by Murphy and FX president  John Landgraf and the pair revealed that a new cast and new location will be typical of every season for the series. The inaugural run took place in a haunted Los Angeles home and starred "Friday Night Lights" actress Connie Britton.

"None of the characters from season one will be regular characters in season two, nor will it take place in the same house, nor will it take place in the same state," Landgraf told the news source. "It won't take place in California."

The recent first season finale was the show's highest watched of the year and continued a string of successful shows for Murphy. His other series are the hit Fox show "Glee" and the "Nip/Tuck."
