(We do not collect these names or emails!)Few filmmakers have been as prolific as Woody Allen over the last 30 years. The writer-director seems to have a new film out nearly every year, and 2011 was no different. The star-studded romantic comedy "Midnight In Paris," certainly lived up to the hype and is considered among Allen's best work. The new release DVD hits shelves December 20.
The film follows Gil (Owen Wilson), a screenwriter who is finishing up work on his first novel. He's vacationing with his wife Inez (Rachel McAdams) in Paris when the two become separated and Gil finds himself transported back to the 1920s via an antique car.
After spending a night with era figures ranging from F. Scott Fitzgerald to Gertrude Stein, Gil heads back again and again as soon as the clock strikes midnight. While in the past he falls in love with Adriana (Marion Cotillard) and has to determine whether he should stay or return to the future.
To fully appreciate Woody Allen's contributions to film moviegoers should check out some of his best including "Annie Hal" and "Vicky Cristina Barcelona."
