Ever since it hit theaters in 2009, there have been talks of a "Zombieland" sequel. It looks like fans of the movie may be in even more luck as the writers of the popular zombie flick may bring the story to the small screen, Paste magazine reports.

The "Zombieland" sequel and possible television show are not the only thing writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are currently working on either. The two scribes have also been penning the script to a movie that is based on the Hasbro toys Micronauts.

According to the publication, having the comedy movie become a TV series is not that farfetched. The original film began as the potential pilot for a TV series, and zombie-centric stories have been growing in popularity recently thanks in large part to the AMC series "The Walking Dead."

Zombie movies have long been a staple of the Halloween season, and those looking for some of the best of the genre should check out "Land of the Dead" as well as the comically-tinged "Shaun of the Dead."
