Cameron Diaz goes down a different path in 'Bad Teacher'

Cameron Diaz has made a career of often playing likable characters, but she takes things in a very different direction in the 2011 comedy movie "Bad Teacher." Highlighted by a talented supporting cast, the new release DVD hits shelves October 18. Elizabeth Halsey (Diaz) is an unmotivated and careless middle school teacher in Chicago, and although she had planned on quitting the profession, her plans change when her wealthy fiance breaks up with her before the wedding. Not one to give up, Elizabeth decides to pursue a rich substitute teacher named Scott (Justin Timberlake), but her plans are once again foiled when he reveals to her that he has feelings for a different coworker. Discouraged but still determined, Elizabeth tries a series of schemes to get money so she can leave teaching but winds up learning a few things in the process. Though Diaz is out of character in "Bad Teacher," there are many other titles out there where she is at her best. Comedies including "There's Something About Mary" and "The Sweetest Thing" are sure to leave audiences laughing.
