Ryan Reynolds gives Hal Jordan his due in 'Green Lantern'

(We do not collect these names or emails!)In a world dominated by the likes of Superman and Batman, some of the lesser known entities can get overlooked. One such hero is Hal Jordan, the protagonist in "Green Lantern," who finally got his feature in a 2011 action movie. The new release DVD hits shelves October 14.
Hal (Ryan Reynolds) is a fearless test pilot and one day he stumbles across the ring of a Green Lantern, a member of a group tasked with protecting certain sectors of the universe. The ring has chosen him as the successor of its previous owner, who was recently killed. Hal eventually is transported to the Green Lantern Corps home planet of Oa to receive training for his newfound powers.
However, with his new abilities come a great deal of responsibility. Hal has to save the Earth from falling victim to Parralx, a fear-essence being that has already left two planets destroyed in its wake.
Fans of superhero movies will certainly want to check out some other great titles in the genre including the Edward Norton-led "The incredible Hulk" as well as "Superman Returns."
