Kiefer Sutherland to star in new Fox drama

His eight-year run as agent Jack Bauer on the popular Fox show "24" has come to an end, but Kiefer Sutherland is ready to head back to the small screen. Sutherland is expected to return to Fox to star in the upcoming series "Touch," Paste magazine reports. The show was created by the same minds behind the popular NBC drama "Heroes" and will star Sutherland a man who has trouble bonding with his mute son after the death of his wife. Eventually, Sutherland's character discovers that his son has a special gift and can notice things that others can't. The first season will be just 13 episodes long and will start airing in the spring of next year. Sutherland will not be the only big name to appear in the series, either. Danny Glover is on board as a professor who helps the father and son communicate, the publication reports. In addition to catching up with "24" through TV on DVD, fans of the show may want to check out similar series including "Fringe" and "Flash Forward."
