Print this article Few actors have become synonymous with a genre as much as Jean-Claude Van Damme has with action movies. The Belgian martial-artist has a long list of classic films, and he added another one in 2011 with "Assassination Games." The action-packed new release DVD comes to stores September 6.
The story follows a contract killer named Brazil (Van Damme), who will take any job if the pay is good. A hit comes on a notorious drug dealer and Brazil is up to the task. However, he has competition as another former assassin named Flint (Scott Adkins) also wants to complete the job - but for revenge.
As the two separately compete to bring down the target, they are both pursued by dangerous criminals, and despite their reluctance the pair has to team up to save their lives.
Van Damme has enjoyed a long career dating back more than 25 years, so action movie fans can check out plenty of his work. The 1988 hit "Bloodsport" is one of his most famous, but moviegoers won't be disappointed with "Timecop" either.
