Will Ferrell gets serious in 'Everything Must Go'

Will Ferrell has made a name for himself as an outrageous funnyman, but he has shown he can sometimes give a dramatic turn. He showed off his flair for a serious role once again in "Everything Must Go." The heart-wrenching new release DVD comes to stores September 6. Nick (Ferrell) is a recovering alcoholic who seems to be getting his life together. However, everything quickly falls apart when he is fired from his job and left by his wife on the same day. With nowhere to go and all his possessions on the front yard, Nick decides the best thing for him is have a tag sale. As contends with the police and inquiring neighbors, Nick forms a friendship with a lonely neighborhood boy named Kenny (Christopher Jordan Wallace), his neighbor Samantha (Rebecca Hall) and his Alcoholics Anonymous sponsor Frank (Michael Pena), all of whom are trying to help him get his life back on track. To check out some of Ferrell's best dramatic roles, movie buffs should check out "Stranger Than Fiction" and "Winter Passing."
