Brad Pitt is currently in the middle of shooting the big-screen adaptation of the hit novel World War Z, but it didn't stop him from saving a woman from being trampled during filming. According to The Scottish Sun, while filming a stampeded scene in Glasgow, the "Fight Club" actor picked up a woman who had fallen among the crowd of 700 extras.

The scene being filmed was one in which zombies are flooding the streets of the city, and it turned out that the woman was not the only one who was injured. A source close to the project revealed that many extras did not make it out unscathed.

"Loads of extras suffered bumps and scrapes during the battle scene. There was no training or choreography before the chase on Wednesday morning," the source told the news source. "An extra playing a soldier was even hit by a moving car, ending up on the vehicle's bonnet, but fortunately he escaped unhurt."

The zombie movie, based off the 2006 novel by Max Brooks, is slated for a December 21, 2012 release and will certainly appeal to fans of the popular genre. Those looking to get ready for the film will want to check out "I Am Legend" and "Dawn of the Dead."
