Jonah Hill signs on to star-studded 'Neighborhood Watch'

The upcoming comedy movie "Neighborhood Watch" isn't slated for release until 2013, but its cast list is shaping up to be quite impressive. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jonah Hill has signed on to the project and will join Ben Stiller and Vince Vaughn. The movie is set to be directed by Akiva Schaffer, who is perhaps best known as one third of the musical comedy trio The Lonely Island. Hill is believed to have a supporting role as Vaughn's sidekick, and the movie also stars "Rachel Getting Married" actress Rosemarie DeWitt. The story is expected to focus on a local neighborhood crime prevention group that is actually just an excuse for husbands to get some time away from their families. However, they unknowingly discover a plot to destroy the world and have to deal with the consequences, the news source reports. The movie will be the first to be directed by Schaffer since he helmed the 2007 comedy film "Hot Rod," which starred fellow bandmate Andy Samberg. Fans who want to catch up on their comedies before the big screen can watch Hill at his best in "Superbad" or the Vaughn classic "Wedding Crashers."
