Lady Gaga records guest spot for 'The Simpsons'

Lady Gaga has infiltrated just about every aspect of popular culture, and now she's making her way into one of the most iconic television shows of all time. Entertainment Weekly reports that the pop star recently recorded her guest spot for the upcoming season of "The Simpsons." The episode, Lisa Goes Gaga, will feature the singer as herself when she makes a surprise stop in Springfield after hearing about some kids that need cheering up. Although she's no stranger to performing, Gaga was admittedly nervous about the recording session. Still, she says it's one of the highlights of her young career. "I would say this is one of the coolest things I've ever done," she told the publication. "My dad's probably going to do 80 backflips when the episode comes out." The 23rd season of "The Simpsons" will debut on Fox on September 25, and will feature the show's astonishing 500th episode. Fans of this seminal animated classic may want to watch similar titles through TV on DVD such as "Futurama" and "Archer."
