'The Order of Seven' to give 'Snow White' a gritty reboot

Production on the "Wizard of Oz" reboot starring James Franco, Mila Kunis and Michelle Williams recently began, but it is not the only classic tale that's getting a new twist. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the well-known story of "Snow White" is getting turned on its head for an upcoming movie. Disney is apparently working on developing a live-action version of the popular children's movie called "The Order of the Seven." The film has been in the works since 2002, and offers a much different take on the story. This time around, it focuses more on the seven dwarfs, and puts darker, more realistic spin on their personalities. The news source reports that that the dwarfs will be members of a group of warriors looking to redeem themselves by saving Snow White. The project is set to be directed by Michael Gracey and the script was cleaned up by Michael Arndt, who wrote "Toy Story 3." Movie buffs looking to check out some unique spins on classic stories may want to check out "Alice in Wonderland" and "Red Riding Hood."
