Danny McBride transitions to silver screen in 'Your Highness'

Danny McBride has made a name for himself as an off-kilter pitcher in the HBO comedy "Eastbound and Down," but earlier this year he made the transition to big screen stardom with the fantasy comedy movie "Your Highness." The hilarious new release DVD hits shelves August 9. Two warriors named Thadeous (McBride) and Fabious (James Franco) are both sons to the ruling king, but their world is thrown into turmoil when Fabious' fiance Belladona (Zooey Deschenel) is kidnapped just before they are to be married. With no other choice, the two brother set off to rescue Belladona, but face many perils along the way. Eventually they meet up with Isabel (Natalie Portman), who is on a quest for revenge. The trio team up and try to save the kingdom once and for all. Fantasy and comedy rarely meet in such a fashion, but several movies over the years have managed to deftly blend the two genres. Two of the best in recent memory are "Galaxy Quest" and the '80s classic "Robocop."
