Print this article After Mark Wahlberg hinted that he could no longer star in the upcoming movie "The Silver Linings Playbook," it looks like Bradley Cooper is set to step in. Deadline reports that the "Limitless" star is in talks to replace Wahlberg and join Robert De Niro on the project.
Wahlberg was originally attached to the movie, but he had to drop out once it became apparent that there was a scheduling conflict with the upcoming noir drama "Broken City." Cooper may be a suitable replacement, though, as his last movie "The Hangover: Part II" was a big hit.
The film, which is adapted from a novel by the same name, will be helmed by "The Fighter" director David O. Russell. The story centers around a former high school teacher who attempts to win back his ex-wife after being institutionalized. The upcoming movie also stars Oscar nominee Jennifer Lawrence.
Fans of Bradley Cooper may want to check him out in one of his first roles in the comedy movie "Wet Hot American Summer," or in the horror movie "Midnight Meat Train."
