Chris Colfer-written comedy stars 'Mad Men' actor Christina Hendricks

Popular "Glee" star Chris Colfer has already earned critical praise for his acting and singing ability, but now it looks like he's attempting to add screenwriting to the list. According to Paste Magazine he has already penned the script to an upcoming comedy that has an impressive cast list. Titled "Struck by Lightning," the coming-of-age film will feature contributions from the likes of "Mad Men" star Christina Hendricks, and will also star "Modern Family" actress Sarah Hyland, Dermot Mulroney and "The Office's" Angela Kinsey. Little is known about the plot, the publication reports, other than it begins with its protagonist getting struck by lighting, as the title suggests, and retelling his life through a series of flashbacks. The film is expected to start production in the near future in time for a 2012 release. Coming-of-age movies often have some of the most hilarious, but poignant moments in film. Titles such as "Superbad" and "Revenge of the Nerds" both offer laughs with a message.
