'Tekken' a live-action take on the popular video game

Print this article Video games have made their way to the big screen in a number of hit films over the last several years. The latest, "Tekken" puts an exciting live-action spin on the on the popular fighting game, and the new release DVD hits stores July 19.
The movie takes place in a future where World Wars have destroyed much of society, leaving corporations in charge of ruling the masses. The biggest of them all, Tekken, hosts a tournament in which the participants have to fight to the death.
After the death of his mother at the hands of the corporation, Jin Kazama (Jon Foo), who has years of martial arts training under his belt, decides to avenge his mother by participating in, and winning, the tournament. But the task is certainly not easy, and Jin faces a long list of dangerous and deadly competitors.
Moviegoers who enjoy film adaptations of their favorite video games have a lot of titles to choose from, but some of the best are "Resident Evil" and "Silent Hill."
