There's no actor quite like Nicolas Cage. He has played everything from a southern criminal in "Con Air" to an everyman superhero in "Kick Ass." However he entered new territory in "Season of the Witch" when he took a step back into medieval times. The new release DVD comes to stores June 28.

Behman von Bleiruck (Cage), is a former knight who, along with his companion Felson (Ron Perlman), has been tasked with taking an accused witch to a monastery where she will stand trial. With a team assembled, the duo set off on a long and harrowing journey.

After a trek fraught with peril, Behman begins to realize that the woman they believe to be a witch may not be one after all, and he does all he can to save her but most of all, save himself.

Fans of fantasy movies with an historic tilt to them may also want to check out films such as "Reign of Fire" and "Dungeons and Dragons."
