'Citizen Kane' set to get Blu-ray release

It's widely considered to be one of the best movies ever made, and now "Citizen Kane" is getting a modern upgrade. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the classic movie is going to be released on Blu-ray on September 13, marking the films 70th anniversary. The high-definition version of the Orson Welles-directed film will be part of a collectors edition commemorating the milestone. The package will include a 48-page book as well as recreations of the original lobby cards, memos and correspondents that took place during the movie's production. The product will likely be an impressive one given the process it took to refurbish the decades-old movie. "The work to re-create the original look of the film and to clean up the effects of aging was a painstaking, frame-by-frame process," Warner Bros. Motion Picture Imaging colorist Janet Wilson said in a statement. "The source for most of the picture was a 4K scan from a 1941 composite fine grain positive master." Fans of classic movies may want to check out similar titles from that time period including "The Wizard of Oz" and "Some Like it Hot." Featured Titles: Some Like It Hot Blu-ray Disc $12.99
