Details about the upcoming action movie "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" have been few and far between, but filmmakers recently unveiled the title's villain. Producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura told USA Today the antagonist is going to be Shockwave, the one-eyed Decepticon made famous in the popular '80s TV show.

The new villain will take things to a whole new level in the sci-fi series. Megatron (voice of "The Matrix" actor Hugo Weaving) is back from the first two films, but Shockwave may cause even more damage, something filmmakers say will cause problems for the heroes in the film.

"He's always been a mean, mean guy, but he's even more menacing and more dangerous," di Bonaventura told the news source. "He's bigger, badder, with a greater arsenal."

The Michael Bay-directed film hits theaters June 29, and many of the same characters are back from the first two movies, including Shia LaBeouf, Josh Duhamel and John Turturro. However, Megan Fox will not be reprising her role and has been replaced by Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.

Fans of the two latest "Transformers" films may also want to check out sci-fi thrillers such as "Skyline" and "Armageddon."
