James Cameron-produced 'Sanctum' a feast for the eyes

Print this article James Cameron has had a knack for directing visually striking blockbuster films and he apparently has the same talent when he switches to producer. The legendary filmmaker struck gold once again with "Sanctum." The breathtaking action movies comes to DVD June 7.
The movie follows 17-year-old Josh (Rhys Wakefield), adventure seeker Carl (Ioan Gruffudd) and his girlfriend Victoria (Alice Parkinson) as they embark on the exploration of an underwater cave. Though things begin smoothly as Josh's father Frank has set up an extensive base camp, they quickly take a turn for the worse when a diver dies after her tank ruptures.
A storm on the surface causes turmoil for the divers and one-by-one they begin to succumb to the dangers. As the numbers begin to dwindle and the survivors face a fierce struggle to make it out of the caves alive, it becomes apparent that the youngest member has the greatest chance for survival.
Film buffs looking for similarly visually striking action movies will want to check out the Cameron-directed "Avatar" or the the futuristic sci-fi thriller "Sunshine."
