Among fans of the iconic George Lucas franchise, May 4 is much more than just the day before Cinco de Mayo. Commonly recognized as Star Wars Day ("May the Fourth be with you"), the date took on an even greater meaning this year. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Lucasfilm and 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment announced that all six of the classic movies are going to be released on Blu-ray later this year.

"Star Wars: The Complete Saga," will hit stores September 16, and lest fans think that the package will just provide them with a more enhanced version of the originals, they should think again. The collection will include more than 40 hours of bonus footage to satiate the appetites of even the most ravenous "Star Wars" fan.

The news source reports that, in addition to the six films, the set will feature three extra discs containing documentaries, deleted and extended scenes and never-before-seen footage taken from the Lucasfilm archives.

Fans of Lucas' classic movies will also want to add some of his other films to their collections as well, including "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom" and "American Graffiti"
