The Farrelly Brothers have helmed some of the most memorable comedy movies of the last 20 years, and it looks as though their "Three Stooges" reboot is next in line for the pair. Jane Lynch has signed on to the already impressive cast, and according to The Hollywood Reporter she is expected to start rehearsing with the prolific directors in the very near future.

Lynch is set to portray the mother superior at the orphanage where the Three Stooges eventually meet. The "40 Year Old Virgin" star has been in some of the most well-received comedies of the last several years including "Role Models" and "Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby."

The actors set to play the Stooges have a pretty substantial comedic chops as well. Sean Hayes, most known for his role on "Will and Grace" will play Larry, "MADtv" actor Will Sasso will play Curly and Chris Diamantopoulos is in discussions to play Moe.

Lynch has received considerable critical acclaim most recently for her turn as the antagonistic cheerleading coach Sue Sylvester in "Glee."
