Forthcoming 'Resident Evil' game is shrouded in mystery

Print this article Gamers across the world were given a tease earlier this week when a magazine in Japan revealed details regarding an upcoming Playstation 3 game titled "Resident Evil: Revival Selection." IGN.com reports that very little is known about the title, including its release date, but fans of the popular series are likely champing at the bit the find out more.
Among the few details leaked is that the game will be a compilation of "Resident Evil 4" and "Resident Evil: Code Veronica," both of which are set to be remastered in HD. However, according to the website,outside of that, developers have not been forthcoming with any other snippets of information.
The title will be just the latest addition to a lengthy "Resident Evil" franchise, which began in 1996 with the release of a game for Playstation. It has since expanded into Xbox games, Nintendo DS games and even a number of big screen adaptations.
"Resident Evil" was one of the original survival horror video games and will likely appeal to fans of similar titles such as "Silent Hill" and "F.E.A.R."
