Isla Fisher writes movie with 'Parks and Recreation' star Amy Poehler

Though she may be the wife of "Borat" funnyman Sascha Baron Cohen, Isla Fisher is a comedic talent in her own right. So, it comes as no surprise the Scottish-Australian actress is in the process of writing a script for her and fellow comedian Amy Poehler. According to CTV News, the movie, tentatively dubbed "Groupies," follows Poehler and Fisher's characters as they travel alongside a rock band. Though she has starred in several much-loved comedies, including the 2005 smash "Wedding Crashers," Fisher was struck with the lack of female leads in comedy movies, so she decided to take matters into her own hands. "I'm not writing trashy chick lit anymore," she told the news source. "I wrote ‘Groupies' with Amy Poehler and since then, I developed another project. So, I'm still being creative and moving more into production, and making sure I have a little bit more power and control over my career."
