Print this article Could "The Dude" be making a triumphant return to the big screen? According to recent reports, a sequel to "The Big Lebowski" may be in the works.
Hollywood.TV reports that Tara Reid, who starred as Bunny Lebowski in the Coen Brothers' comedy, let it slip that many of the original actors are on board for the project.
"The whole cast should be coming back for that," she told the news outlet.
"The Big Lebowski" was a modest success at its release in 1998 - according to BoxOfficeMojo, the Jeff Bridges film only took in a little more than $17 million in the United States during its run.
However, the movie has skyrocketed to cult status over the past few years. Aside from earning a coveted spot on IMDB.com's top 250 Films of All Time list, there are countless midnight screenings of the movie across the country and festivals that pay homage to its characters.
Bridges recently won an Oscar for his work in the drama "Crazy Heart."
