Print this article It's safe to say Jennifer Lawrence is over the moon at the moment. After earning an Oscar nomination for her work in the thrilling drama "Winter's Bone," the talented 20-year-old seems destined to become a household name.
Lawrence spoke with Entertainment Weekly about being considered for the prestigious Best Actress award.
"This has surpassed any expectation I could've had," she told the news outlet. "And that's why it just feels so good. We all made it without this in mind. We all made [the movie] because we loved and believed in the movie. And to see this happen to it and to us, there's no feeling like it."
Although "Winter's Bone" was an independent film, it appears as though Lawrence has a number of big studio projects lined up. The actress is slated to appear in "X-Men: First Class" as Mystique and has been cast in "The House at the End of the Street" with Elisabeth Shue.
Before skyrocketing to success last year, Lawrence was best known for playing Lauren Pearson on the sitcom "The Bill Engvall Show."
