The Swedish gem "Let the Right One In" made waves when it was released in 2008, and for good reason. The chilling story, based on the book of the same name by John Ajvide Lindqvist, left audiences all over the world captivated by the hair-raising vampire tale.

Luckily for moviegoers, the American remake of the film, "Let Me In," will finally be released on DVD February 1.

The story centers on Owen (Kodi Smit-McPhee), a 12-year-old boy who is an outcast among his peers. One day he meets and befriends his next-door neighbor, Abby (Chloe Moretz), a mysterious young girl who accepts him for who he is.

As Owen and Abby form a bond, the young boy begins to muster the courage to stand up to his adversaries. However, he also slowly realizes that his new companion has a deep, dark secret.

Although this is Moretz' first leading role, the up-and-coming actress has appeared in a number of beloved films before. Her most notable projects, "500 Days of Summer" and "Kick-Ass," showcase her many talents.
